Tommy Edwards first released 'It's All in the Game' in 1951. In 1958 he re-released it at a time when he was about to lose his record contract. This is the 1958 version. It is less sparsely produced and more up tempo. It went to #18 that year and he kept his contract for a few more years.

It is alleged that Percy Sledge wrote 'When a Man Loves a Woman' spontaneously one night while on stage. He had to remember what he sang and wrote it down after the night's performance was over.
